Chocolate Walnut Protein Fudge – Super Bowl Goodies Series

Chocolate Walnut Protein Fudge

And just like that, we've come to day 7 of my 7 days of Super Bowl goodies series! This week just flew by and really refocused my motivation to play around in the kitchen and post new recipes on a more consistent basis! As a series finale, I thought I'd end it on a sweet note while keeping it nice + healthy (not that I don't adore you, slow cooker lava cake) with some protein fudge! As far as protein powders go, I love the taste of chocolate Shakeology in baking. [I used it in these chocolate covered almond protein balls too!] I always go through a friend to buy Shakeo, and if you're looking to get some, you can find it HERE! If the price is a little too high…

Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake – Super Bowl Goodies Series

Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

I'm at a loss for words on how to preface this recipe. It's not even close to healthy (unlike these chocolate peanut butter brownies). BUT, it's good for the soul; and I'm all about those soulful indulgent once-in-a-time recipes. I have full on heart-eye emojis over here just thinking back on this slow cooker chocolate lava cake. It was seriously amazing; and knew, even though I try to center this blog around living healthy, that I had to share it with you all. Plus, a little lava cake is perfect for days that you save your treats for; aka: this years Super Bowl. I made this cake for a co-workers birthday. I'm huge on bringing crock pot recipes because I can prep the ingredients beforehand, but allow it to cook during the…

10 Last Minute Thanksgiving Dish Recipes

So, you're in a pinch for time and need to bring a dish to share or need some ideas on simple Thanksgiving dishes to prepare for the big day? You're not alone! I am queen of holiday procrastination, but I really loath showing up anywhere without a dish in hand, so while all of these recipes are quick, they are also huge crowd favorites! Are you getting into anything special for Thanksgiving this year? My mom + sister are coming down to visit and we're heading over to a good friend's house for the day. Thanksgiving to me is all about friends, family, football, and wayyyy too many mashed potatoes consumed. ;) What reminds you most of t-day? I hope whatever you find yourself getting…

Chocolate Cherry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate Covered Cherry + Banana Smoothie Bowls | These vegan, easy to make smoothie bowls are packed with healthy nutrients, fats, and keep you fueled with natural proteins & ingredients

I've been a tad obsessed with smoothie bowls lately. If you've never had a smoothie bowl before, they're exactly what they sound like! I always use frozen bananas as my base, add in any other frozen fruits I'm feeling, then get crazy with some toppings. :) The other day, Dj and I got home pretty late, so I didn't want to eat anything too heavy for dinner. I decided to play around with a new combo for a smoothie bowl and it was AMAZING. Luckily, I thought to snap a picture before digging in, so while this post doesn't have as many step by step pictures as my posts usually do, I can still share it! 1-2 frozen bananas 1/2 - 1 cup of frozen cherries 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla…

Banana Nut Bread Protein Bites

Banana Nut Bread Protein Bites

I'm not really sure why, but for the loooongest time I stayed far away from no-bake snacks and desserts. I was kind of intimidated by them because when I heard "...then use a food processor.." I would stop there. I love baking/cooking/inventing, but when it comes to messing with appliances, I'm kind of the worst. I've messed with food processors before, (like when I made this super tasty creamy roasted garlic hummus), which worked out great, but then the next time it just started smoking?? I don't know. I blame my previous clean up skills. There are just SO many parts, I'm sure I put one back wrong. So, just as I was accepting my basic appliance fate, everything changed + I was shown the light.Β My saint of a mom got me this super…

21 Day FIx, Breakfast, Dinner, Lunch, Recipe Box, Sides, Snacking, Sweet Tooth, What I Ate On Wednesday

What I Ate on Wednesday; Vol. 3

"Easy weekday meal ideas"

One question I’m frequently asked is what I eat on a typical day-to-day basis. Sure, recipes are great, but many people want to know the more simple meals I munch on throughout the day. From the post: Homemade Acai Berry Bowls As an easier guide besides β€œcheck out some breakfast and lunch ideas on my blog!”, composing a post that gives an exact depiction of what I eat from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep seemed a lot easier. I'm a big believer in eating foods that are healthy for you. I don't count calories, I rather keep track of food groups + the nutrients that I put into my body. I'm currently on the 21 Day Fix, which provides healthy workouts (only 30 minutes per day- yesss)…

Chocolate Covered Almond Protein Bites

I have officially found my newest favorite snack. Although, these are more of a supplemental meal of sorts. They are packed with dense nutrition- a full serving of fruit, protein, as well as a healthy fat. My biggest downfall when it comes to nutritional health will always be my sweet tooth. For my last meal, I'd probably choose a 1/2 baked, warm chocolate chip cookie... or the center of a Cinnabon.. or a warm brownie... you get the gist. ;) I've found ways to curb my sweet tooth with healthy alternatives, like these peanut butter brownies, balsamic baked berries, PB&J thumb print cookies, chocolate blueberry cupcakes with a whipped peanut butter frosting, and this baked chocolate peanut butter banana, but these seriously take the cake. The best part is that they are SO easy.…

Lemon Drop Cloud Cookies

Lemon Drop Cookies

I'm one of those people who seem to be in the Christmas spirit all year around. No offense to Thanksgiving (I love you, I do) but Christmas is so great, I feel that it needs almost 2 months of prep. Peanut Butter Blossoms One thing I overdo every year (if that's even possible) are Christmas cookies. I don't limit myself to just the classics either; I tend to experiment and go with what I'm feeling at the moment. Last year, I pinned this recipe that had an interesting concept of making cookies using cool whip. I've made tons of recipes with modifications that have a similar approach (take these 3 ingredient Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Muffins, for example), so I decided to experiment a bit and make my own tweaks. Guys. These cookies have…
