Goodbye 2016: 4th of July Weekend Flashback

Wow- we are a mere 4 weeks until 2017! 2016, as a whole, was an eventful year. I thought a fun way to commemorate the end of the year would be to feature some of my favorite memories of the past few months as flashback posts! Short + sweet, but nice to remember the year by. :)  So, to kick off my Flashback series, I present you a video I put together of our trip up North for 4th of July weekend! It was also to celebrate our friend, Gary's, graduation from law school. Life Lately + Coffee Talk ; vol. 2

Life Lately || What's been going on + some life updates

Hey there! It has been a hot minute since I last updated you guys on my life + what's been going on so I thought I'd take some time today and do a coffee talk. Coffee talks are basically life talks but with us sipping some virtual coffee together. ;) So grab a cup of joe (or a glass of sangria, nobody judges here during coffee talks) and let's get down to it! -Coffee- It's only fitting that I start off this coffee chat with my latest go-to order. Now that fall is officially here (woo woo!) I've switched up my typical Starbs order (grande iced skinny vanilla latte with coconut milk) for something more festive. Since it's still high 90s here in Florida, I take fall where I can find it, and coffee…

Wedding Weekend at Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, West Virginia

Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom West Virginia

It's happening!! I'm officially in the prime age where my Facebook timeline is flooded with engagement love, wedding bliss, and even a few sprinkles of babies! I absolutely adore it. Weddings, babies, sparkly rings... they're all completely my thing. This past weekend, one of my best friends from college, Danielle, got MARRIED (!!!) to her best friend, Max. The ceremony was held at the Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, West Virginia. It was a magical weekend + so beyond beautiful. To commemorate the weekend, I put together a video of some of our favorite pictures + video clips from the weekend away in the mountains. Check it out! What to do with 24 Hours in Washington DC

What to do with 24 Hours in Washington DC

When I was 11 years old, my family packed up and moved from Southern California to our new home in Northern Virginia, about 15 miles outside of Washington DC. I was young enough to be up for the move without caring too much about leaving the only home I'd ever known. I ended up falling in love with the city, and the older I grew, the more I came to appreciate the history and all DC has to offer. After that, I caught the traveling bug and love to take advantage of trips, no matter the length, whenever possible. (Like my latest trip to Cancun, Mexico!) This past 4th of July, Dj and I decided to do a northern trip. We hit 3 different states in 4 days (DC -> New Jersey -> Maryland…

Hola, mis amores!  Last week, Dj and I traveled down to Cancun, Mexico to meet up with my best friend, Sara (remember her from our adventures exploring North Florida?), and her fiance, Waugh. None of had ever been to Cancun before, but Sara + Waugh bought this ridiculous vacation package while in Cozumel a few years ago. Wanting to take advantage of another trip before the package ended, we talked about doing a couples trip… aka…

A Night Out in Charlotte, North Carolina

"What-to-do-in-Charlotte-North-carolina"

Hola, mis amores!  Last week, Dj and I traveled down to Cancun, Mexico to meet up with my best friend, Sara (remember her from our adventures exploring North Florida?), and her fiance, Waugh. None of had ever been to Cancun before, but Sara + Waugh bought this ridiculous vacation package while in Cozumel a few years ago. Wanting to take advantage of another trip before the package ended, we talked about doing a couples trip... aka Baecation (don't hate me, hehe.) So, on a whim, we looked online, found a 5 day block that worked for the 4 of our work schedules and booked the trip all within 48 hours. I'm a huge advocator for traveling as much as possible (I lived in London for a bit, travel out to California pretty frequently, and…

Snow Day Survival Guide

"West-Virginia-University"

When it comes to snow days, I’m a self-proclaimed pro. Living in the mountains of West Virginia for almost 6 years taught me a thing or two about how to battle snow and wind so cold you can feel it in your bones. West Virginia University during the beginning of snow storm, Sandy *hint: it’s all about staying inside. ;) When I was in college, I was all about the snow. I would go snowboarding with my friend, Katie, after chemistry class every Thursday night, we would walk across the dead roads to Eat n' Park for some late night grilled stickies (like a cinnamon roll, but with honey- omg), stay in all day drinking adult beverages while I dominated in Mario Kart & Mario Party... once we even thought up the brilliant idea…
