Link Love Vol. 24 – All About Traveling & Money Saving

travel money saving tips

From the post, What to Do with 24 Hours in Washington DC What's up, friends & happy Friday!  It's been a hot minute since my last Link Love (formally known as Feel Good Friday). Usually when I start a series, I am all about them. Remember my Super Bowl Goodies series? I was able to do plan, prep, shoot, & edit SEVEN posts in SEVEN days. Which, if you've ever dabbled in the good ol' blogging world, you'll know what a feat this actually was. Since its been months (yes, months...) since my last round up of good reads throughout the week, I knew I had to switch things up and it was becoming stale to me. I read so many articles, blogs, and watch Youtube videos all the time, so it wasn't like there was a…

A Day Trip to Dallas, Texas

"Dallas-Texas-John F-Kennedy"

downtown Dallas I'm drawn to cities and busy streets. I love exploring new cities, getting lost in busy streets, and experiencing different walks of life. To me, the best way to learn about a different place is to just place yourself in the middle of a city and wander. When I first moved to London, I took a tube to a random spot, got off to explore, and then attempted to find my way back by looking at the tube maps. Sure, it's not always the quickest route, but you learn the ins and outs of a city SO quickly. Over Labor Day weekend, Dj and I went to visit his family in Arlington, Texas. It's about 30 minutes from Dallas and 30 minutes from Fort Worth. It's right by the Dallas Cowboys stadium…

Father’s Day Gift Guide – 10 gifts under $80 (& 9 under $50!)

"Father's-Day-Gift-Guide"

In this post, you'll find my Father's Day Gift Guide - 10 gifts under $80 (9 of which are below $50)! Father's Day is so special. As I get older, the more I understand setting aside a specific day just to celebrate your parents or who you may claim as 'dad'. It's important to remember that just as we are getting older, so are our parents. This year, I'm able to fly out to California for my younger brother + sister's high school graduation, and am staying through Father's Day weekend! I might be alone here, but I have a much easier time shopping for moms vs dads. It could be just because I'm a girl so I have a better understanding of "girly" gifts, so I figured a Father's Day Gift Guide would…

Goodbye 2016: 4th of July Weekend Flashback

Wow- we are a mere 4 weeks until 2017! 2016, as a whole, was an eventful year. I thought a fun way to commemorate the end of the year would be to feature some of my favorite memories of the past few months as flashback posts! Short + sweet, but nice to remember the year by. :)  So, to kick off my Flashback series, I present you a video I put together of our trip up North for 4th of July weekend! It was also to celebrate our friend, Gary's, graduation from law school. Life Lately + Coffee Talk ; vol. 2

Life Lately || What's been going on + some life updates

Hey there! It has been a hot minute since I last updated you guys on my life + what's been going on so I thought I'd take some time today and do a coffee talk. Coffee talks are basically life talks but with us sipping some virtual coffee together. ;) So grab a cup of joe (or a glass of sangria, nobody judges here during coffee talks) and let's get down to it! -Coffee- It's only fitting that I start off this coffee chat with my latest go-to order. Now that fall is officially here (woo woo!) I've switched up my typical Starbs order (grande iced skinny vanilla latte with coconut milk) for something more festive. Since it's still high 90s here in Florida, I take fall where I can find it, and coffee…
